Jeff Lodge

Mr. Lodge is the Director of Information Technology for the College of Health Professions.  He holds a BA from Emory and Henry College in Mathematics/Computer Science.  His major concentration is in online education and he co-teaches a course in Communication and Course Design for our PhD program in College of Health Professions.

Mr. Lodge was the Technology support person for the Health Administration department from 1992 to 1998.  Since 1998 he has been the IT director for our school.  His focus is on distance education with helping the faculty and students with online technologies.  He implement the first live webcasting of lectures to the university and continues to asses new technologies for our PhD program.  He serves on the University Technology Advisory committee which helps determine new technologies and the policies/procedures for putting these into production. This committee also keeps our College aware of new software and hardware being used by other University units.

Prior to VCU, Mr. Lodge worked as a contractor to the Army and spent time in the Gulf War installing Logistic systems for tracking shipments from the port to our troops.  His specialty was installing Novell servers and training army personnel on the specialized tracking software.

In his spare time, he likes to bass fish and is the Faculty sponsor for the VCU Bass fishing team.

VCU Bass Team hosts regional Bassmasters tournament.
